WET 'N' NOT SO WILD IN THE TROPICS
Monday 3 May, 1930 hours Aussie EST. Position 10 09S, 155 19E
Becalmed, raining, hot and humid!!
We passed the eastern tip of PNG last night but still haven't
seen land. The only sign of land are the coconuts that keep
floating past ......... with the Trade winds behind and it is hot
and humid. The winds are much lighter so we are able to start
using the auto pilot and get a bit more rest. We have had a lot
of rain and have started collecting water from the mainsail.
A bird took the chance of a free ride with us - it was happily
perched out on the end of the spinnaker pole. All was going well
until I did a big round-up and it wasn't seen again. I guess it
thought flying was safer.

the warm words of encouragement that have been flowing to their
