SMOOTH SAILING
15 knots and broad reaching. Sailing in near flat seas. This is
like driving down a perfect highway! The days are crystal clear,
without a cloud in the sky. At night we sail with the bright
light of the full moon. We are slowly catching up with the boat
ahead, having halved our distance behind them since Sunday. At
present we are abeam of Mackay and soon to change over to the
next chart. We've been on the same tack since Jervis Bay.
We finished the last of the apples yesterday -- no more fresh
food. Although I do have a banana which I found floating around
in one of the lockers. I think I'll save that one for Ol' Neptune
when he visits Dave as we pass the equator...
